Record Snow Hits Central Oregon
In late 2016 and early 2017, Central Oregon was hit by a snowfall and freezing temperatures. The level of snow and the low temperatures were the worst in 20 years.
Though majestic, ice dams formed on over a thousand homes, causing a variety of problems for homeowners.
This vacation home in Sunriver had ice build up on the exterior but with the changing in temperature, the ice melted but then froze again.
This caused moisture to leak into the house, causing hidden damage. SERVPRO of Bend used their infrared camera to find the damaged areas of the interior and took action.
Though the homeowners wanted to do their own build back, they were extremely thankful that we were able to pin-point the damage and remove only what was needed.
